"Ok, friends and family…everyone and I literally mean everyone needs to have their water tested! My friends Patrick and Tabitha L Taylor own Affordable Clean Water in Jenks, and Pat came and did a free water test at our house in Ponca City last week. Our top water sample in the picture posted turned a dark bright orange literally instantly!! 😳 That orange color indicates the amount of chlorine in the water and is registering WAY above the EPA-recommended safe level…can you say toxic!! 😬 The bottom water sample is our water after the installation of a whole house filtering system yesterday…toxic chlorine and all toxins such as pesticides, antibiotics, known carcinogens, and more are gone. I know lots of people will say “We don’t drink our city water, we drink bottled water, etc”. Ok, that’s great, but when you shower or take a hot bath, the hot water opens all of the pores in your skin which is your largest organ…so just a little FYI, you’re still absorbing through your skin all of these toxins that are in the water when you shower or soak in your tub." 😵‍💫--

Problems frequently caused by hard water include dry skin and hair, bathtub rings, spots on glass, silverware and fixtures, dull, dingy clothing, and a shortened life expectancy of water-using appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, hot water tanks, coffee makers, etc.

Since the 1850s, chlorine has been used as a disinfectant to kill harmful bacteria in water itself or the pipes that transport it. In 2012 the City of Tulsa began using chloramine. Chloramine is formed by mixing chlorine with ammonia. Although it has helped end a number of major threats to public health, is essential at the treatment plant, and in the water distribution system, it is no longer necessary once the water reaches your home.

Hydrogen sulfide, a potential source of smelly water, is a colorless corrosive gas which has the characteristic odor of rotten eggs. If present in high enough concentrations, it can leave an unpleasant odor on hair and clothing as well as accelerate the corrosion of metal parts in appliances.
